Description | Mimi Dayton signs a pledge held by Betty Mueller, both University of Chicago co-eds. Members of groups on the Midway campus such as "Youth for Democracy" are promising donations of their blood which will be forwarded by the Greek War Relief Association for use in transfusions to soldiers and civilians wounded in the war with Italy. To rouse interest in the cause, "Youth for Democracy" is sponsoring a giant parade through the university section late Tuesday afternoon, and a mammoth rally with prominent speakers at Mandel Hall Wednesday evening. Students in the first row are, left to right: Mary Harvey, Mimi Dayton, Betty Mueller, Marjorie Goodman and Tobey Muskin; second row: Paul Wolkup, Norman Kogan and Allen Garfinkle. |
